Africa my Africa.

There is an epidemic in Africa which is worse than Ebola, Covid and Dengue all put together and that is Religion. It has become our leading industry, philosophy and overriding yardstick for measuring progress. Some Africans have gone as far as thinking we are better Christians than those who brought Christianity to us. Talk of crying more than the in-laws. Talk of religion being an Opium of the masses, it has become our garri, rice and beer. More importantly, for some, it has become a substitute for hard work, ambition and planning, as our religious leaders promise Devine intervention to bring us riches beyond our wildest dreams and good health devoid of any personal responsibility. Pastors turn a blind eye to ill-gotten wealth as long as the rich pay the proverbial “tithe” or sow the appropriate seed into the ministry. Even our armed robbers ask for Devine intervention before they go out for their operations. Any country with more churches than factories has no hope and a whole continent has this going on.

YouTube deletes R.kelly's channels

YouTube has removed two channels of disgraced R&B singer R. Kelly, who was found guilty of some sex crimes last week. YouTube said in statement that two of the singer's channels, RKellyTV and RKellyVevo, have been removed and he will no longer be able to create or own any other YouTube channel. Catalog of his music will however be available on YouTube Music, YouTube’s audio-streaming service, and the videos uploaded by other YouTube users will continue to be available. A YouTube spokesperson told Reuters in a statement; “We can confirm that we have terminated two channels linked to R. Kelly in accordance with our creator responsibility guidelines." YouTube VP of legal, Nicole Alston also wrote in a memo; “Egregious actions committed by R. Kelly warrant penalties beyond standard enforcement measures due to a potential to cause widespread harm. “Ultimately we are taking this action to protect our users similar to other platforms.” On September 27, Kelly was found guilty in

The newly crowned world boxing heavyweight champion, Oleksandr Usyk of Ukraine, says that the only thing he wanted to do with the Joshua vs Usyk fight was to give praise to Jesus Christ. This was during his victory speech after he ended Anthony Joshua’s reign as world boxing heavyweight champion early Sunday morning. Usyk said, “This means a lot for me. The fight went the way I expected it to go. There were moments when Anthony pushed me hard but it was nothing special. “I had no objective to knock him out because my corner pushed me not to do that.
